This policy applies to Summit City Euros (https://www.summitcityeuros.com) and the Summit City Euros iPhone, Android, and desktop app. The club is based in Indiana, United States.

What we collect

We collect information you provide and information needed to run the club site and app:

Account: name, email, password (stored as a one-way hash), optional phone, birthday, shirt size, bio, and profile photo.
Membership: account status (pending, active, disabled), roles, and whether your profile is public.
Garage and projects: cars, photos, captions, build notes, and published project stories you or club staff add.
Events: events you create, RSVPs, and event photos you upload.
App sign-in: a device token (a random selector plus a hashed secret), device name, platform, and last-used time. The raw token is stored on your device, not in our database.
Preferences: theme, event email setting, and calendar subscription tokens you create.
Security logs: login attempts, IP address, browser or app user agent, and admin audit events.
Support: name, email, and message if you contact us.

How we use it

To create and maintain your club membership and sign you in on the website and app.
To show public profiles, cars, events, and projects to other members and, when you make them public, to visitors of the website.
To send password resets, account activation messages, and event emails you opted into.
To operate optional SMS notices if the club has SMS enabled and you provided a phone number.
To keep the service secure (rate limits, audit logs) and to respond to support requests.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs from other companies.
We do not use your data to train public AI models.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the club:

Other members and the public: content you mark public (or that club defaults make public, such as an approved public event) can appear on the website and in the app.
Email delivery: our SMTP provider sends mail we already generate (resets, event notices, support). They process that message in order to deliver it.
SMS: if used, our SMS gateway receives the destination number and message content in order to send it.
Hosting: the website, database, and uploaded files run on our hosting environment.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the club and its members.

Any processor we use is expected to protect that data at least as carefully as we describe here and only for providing their service to us.

Photos and device permissions

The app may ask for access to photos only so you can upload a profile picture or car photo you choose. We do not read your full photo library. Location, contacts, tracking, and background location are not used.

Retention, access, and deletion

Account and garage data stay until you delete them or ask us to delete the account.
App device tokens expire after one year or when you sign out, change your password, or we revoke them.
Security logs are kept as needed to protect the service.

To access, correct, or delete your information, email support@summitcityeuros.com or use App Support and choose Delete my account. We will confirm using the email on the account. Deletion removes or disables the account and associated profile, cars, photos, RSVPs, and device tokens, except limited records we must keep for security or legal reasons.

Children

The website and app are for a car club and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do. Continued use of the site or app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
